These instructions should assist in configuring your Nortel BCM to work with TIM Enterprise. If you are not familiar with PBX configuration, please contact your system maintainer.

Connection information Description
Connection type IP: The Nortel BCM v3.x CDR information is sent via TCP/IP. The actual installation of TIM Enterprise can be anywhere on the network that the PBX is connected to.
IP method TIM Enterprise will connect to the IP address of your Nortel BCM v3.x.

Configuring your SMDR

Below you will find instructions on how to configure your Panasonic KX-TA/E to output SMDR to TIM Enterprise, you will need to do this from the Panasonic KX-T7130 phone:

  1. Open your Business Communications Manager Unified Manager.
  2. Click on Services.
  3. Click on Call Detail Recording.
  4. On the right-hand side the Summary window will appear. Make sure that the Status is up. If it isn't click on the Status drop-down list and select StatusUp.
  5. Now on the left-hand side click on Report Parameters and configure the fields as per below:
  6. SMDR field Value
    Format Norstar
    Report Type All
    Language English
    Report Filter All
  7. On the left-hand side click on Report Options and configure the fields as per below:
  8. SMDR field Value
    Date Format MM/DD/YY
    Header Format Line/Station
    DNIS Info Enabled
    Connection Char Leave as default
    Clip File Schedule Leave as default
    Clip File Size Leave as default
    CDR Disk Space Limit Leave as default
  9. Go to programming code 802, and set each of settings as below, after you have set each one press Store and then Next to move to the next setting:
  10. On the back of the phone set it back to Store.
  11. On the back of the phone set it back to Store.

Configuring TIM Enterprise

Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Enterprise to listen for SMDR data from your Nortel BCM 3.6:

  1. Browse to TIM Enterprise as normal and login with your credentials.
  2. Click on the Directory tab.
  3. Go the the point in the Directory where you need to add the PBX Object and add a PBX with the name 'Nortel BCM 3.6'.
  4. Left-click on it and select Properties.
  5. From the General settings tab select your Nortel BCM family PBX model from the list.

  7. In the Connection tab select Establish TCP connection to PBX from the Connection method list.
  8. In the Host field enter the IP Address of your Nortel BCM.
  9. In the Port field enter in 4000.
  10. Leave the Username and Password fields blank.
  11. In the IP script field select Nortel BCM v3 from the drop-down list.
  12. Finally, click on the Save button.
