These instructions should assist in configuring your Alcatel 4400 E  to work with TIM Enterprise. If you are not familiar with PBX configuration, please contact your system maintainer.

Connection information Description
Connection type Serial Output: The Alcatel 4400 E sends SMDR information via a serial connection. The most recents units will have a .v24 port, older units will require you to purchase a .v24 module. You will need to directly connect a serial cable from the Alcatel 4400 E .v24 module to the PC that NetPBX is installed and running on.
Cable configuration Straight-through.

Configuring your SMDR

The Alcatel 4200/4400 will need to be configured to output SMDR information.

Configuring TIM Enterprise

Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Enterprise to listen for SMDR data from your Alcatel 4400 E:

  1. Browse to TIM Enterprise as normal and login with your credentials.
  2. Click on the Directory tab.
  3. Go the the point in the Directory where you need to add the PBX Object and add a PBX with the name 'Alcatel 4400 E'.
  4. Left-click on it and select Properties.
  5. From the General settings tab select Alcatel 4400 E from the PBX model list.

  7. In the Connection tab select Listen for connection from PBX from the Connection method list.
  8. Finally, click on the Save button.
