An Organisation unit is a category of objects that allows you to structure the hierarchy of your Directory. The choice of objects belonging to this category are: sites, groups, divisions and cost centres. A special type of group is also available, known as Reporting Collection, which acts as a virtual container that collates disparate users from anywhere in your organisation, for reporting purposes.

These units can be placed at any hierarchical level, allowing maximum flexibility when structuring the Directory, e.g. Cost centres can contain Sites and Sites can contain several Cost centres.
