These instructions help you configure your SpliceCom Maximiser phone system to work with TIM Plus. Contact your system maintainer if you are not familiar with the configuration of your PBX.

Confiure the SMDR output

The SMDR output on the SpliceCom Maximiser is enabled by default, however, you will need to check with your system maintainer whether a Call Logging password has been set up in the PBX and if so, you will need to enter this in TIM Plus to enable the connection.

 

These instructions should assist in configuring your SpliceCom Maximiser to work with TIM Plus. If you are not familiar with PBX configuration, please contact your system maintainer.

Connection information Description
Connection type IP
IP method TCP/IP connection: The SpliceCom Maximiser sends SMDR information via TCP/IP on port 4001. TIM Plus will connect to the IP address of SpliceCom Maximiser.

By default the SMDR output on the SpliceCom Maximiser is enabled. Please check with your system maintainer if they have added a 'Call Logging' password. If they have, they will need to tell you what it is as TIM Plus will require it when it connects.

Configuring TIM Plus

Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Plus to connect to your SpliceCom Maximiser to receive SMDR:

  1. Browse to TIM Plus as normal and login with your credentials.
  2. Click on the Directory tab.
  3. Click on the site configured during the setup wizard and click Propertiesor create a new site and click Properties.
  4. SpliceCom Maximiser
  5. Within the Site Properties window, select SpliceCom Maximiser from the PBX model drop-down list.
  6. In the Connection method field select Actively connect to PBX from the drop-down list.
  7. In the Host field enter the IP Address of your SpliceCom Maximiser.
  8. In the Port field enter in 4001.
  9. Leave the Username and Password fields blank.
  10. In the Connection script field select SpliceCom Maximiser from the drop-down list.
  11. Finally, click on the Save button.
