<p>TIM Enterprise is built upon a unique objects-based Directory that places <b>no limits on hierarchical width or depth</b>, meaning you can faithfully recreate your company's actual structure. By defining relationships between these objects, the system becomes intelligent... for example, it can automatically reconcile calls across 'on-net' routes.</p>

<p>TIM Enterprise's distributed Directory means your employee directory can span multiple sites, with no limit to the actual depth. Aside from the usual user and telephone information, customised fields are available for items such as e-mail address, office location, etc.</p>

<p>The screen below shows the <span class="reference">Organisation units</span> and <span class="reference">Other objects</span> available for constructing your Directory.</p>

<p>You can place unlimited directory objects (<b>users, extensions, channels, trunks, PBXs</b>) anywhere to faithfully recreate any organisational structure, with as many TDM or IP PBXs as you like.</p>

<p><b>Reporting collections</b> allow you to collate separate groups of users from across your entire organisation into <b>Virtual groups</b> so you are no longer constrained to your actual organisational structure.</p>

<p>Multiple PBXs can now use the same or similar extension number ranges, because each PBX is unique in terms of management and reporting so <b>duplicate extension numbers</b> no longer pose a problem.</p>

<p>TIM Enterprise provides the ability to <b>date and time stamp</b> each calls with the local date and time stamp and not that of the host machine where its logged so international time reconciliation is easy.</p>

<p><b>Intelligent Inter-Site Trunk Routing</b> allows you to simply define the relationship between a group of trunks on one site, and it's counterpart group at another, and TIM Enterprise automatically reconciles CDRs from both, costing them using customised tariffs, or zero-costing them as 'on-net' (or internal) calls.</p>

<p>If you have several sites, there is no guarantee that you use the same tariff provider on all. You may not even be costing in the same currency. TIM Enterprise picks <b>any tariff or currency</b> you choose.</p>

The Directory is the place where all of your sites, groups, users and channels are configured. In here, objects can be added, moved around your organisation and be inspected and modified.

To access the Directory, select the Directory tab from the main menu, as shown below:

Info

If you are logged in as a standard web user whose access is restricted to a specific group, the Directory tab will not be displayed. For administrative privileges, contact your system maintainer.

The Directory screen contains three panels, as detailed below:

Sites

The

LabelSites
panel is located at the top-left of the Directory screen. The function of a site object is to acquire call logging data from a telephone system, as well as serving as a representation of a hierarchical level in your organisation. TIM Plus allows the logging of data from up to five telephone systems and a site object must be configured for each one.

Groups

The

Referencemacro
LabelGroups
panel is located at the top-right of the Directory screen and contains groups of users (extensions) and channels (trunks), with each type of group divided into separate tabs. By selecting a tab, all of the groups of that type will be displayed in the panel.
