Configuring your SMDR output

Below you will find Follow the steps below to configure your Mitel 3100 to output SMDR data via a serial connection:

  1. Using an RS-232 cable, connect the printer or PC running TIM Plus to the call logging (SMDR) port on the front serial port of the controllerMitel 3100.
  2. Launch the system toolMitel System Tool.
  3. Choose Voice from the selection menu.
  4. Click on the Management tab, select Call Logging, and then click Change.
  5. Set Click Change to set the following parameters:
    • Set the Cost per minute to 00. (This functionality is not supported in NA systems.)
    • Set the Minimum call duration to be recorded option to 00:00:00.
    • Set the Type of calls option to All.This should be the default.e 
    • Set the Minimum page length to 1.
    • Enable call logging.
  6. Click Save.You will need to 'commit' your changes before they take effect and commit the changes.

Once NetPBX is configured and collecting data, log on in to TIM Plus as usual and apply perform the following settingssteps below:

  1. Click on the Directory tab.
  2. Select Choose the site configured during the setup wizard and clickyou want to configure and click Properties.

  3. Within In the Site Properties window, select Mitel 3100 from the PBX model drop-down list.
  4. In the Connection method field, select No connection required from the drop-down list.
