These instructions should assist in configuring your Panasonic KX-TDA/E to work with TIM Plus. If you are not familiar with PBX configuration, please contact your system maintainer.

Connection information Description
Connection type Serial Output or IP: If you have configured your Panasonic KX-TDA/E to send SMDR information via a serial connection, you will need to directly connect a serial cable from the Panasonic KX-TDA/E PBX to the PC that NetPBX is installed and running on.
Cable configuration Null-modem/Crossover.
IP method TIM Plus will connect to the Panasonic KX-TDA/E via IP on a specific TCP port.

Configuring your SMDR

Below you will find instructions on how to configure your Panasonic KX-TDA/E to output SMDR to TIM Plus. You will need to do this from the Panasonic Maintenance Console program:

  1. Login to the Panasonic Maintenance Console program.
  2. On the left-hand side click on 11.Maintenance.
  3. Now on the right-hand side you will see the SMDR options which you can configure by clicking on the SMDR tab, as shown below:

  5. Now click on SMDR Options tab and configure the options as below:

  7. Now click on the Apply button and then the OK button.

Configuring TIM Plus

Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Plus to listen for SMDR data from your Panasonic KX-TDA/E:

  1. Browse to TIM Plus as normal and login with your credentials.
  2. Click on the Directory tab.
  3. Click on the site configured during the setup wizard and click Propertiesor create a new site and click Properties.

  5. Within the Site Properties window, select Panasonic KX Family/span> from the PBX model drop-down list.
  6. In the Connection method field select Actively connect to PBX from the drop-down list.
  7. In the Host field enter the IP Address of your Panasonic KX-TDA/E.
  8. In the Port field enter in 2300.
  9. Leave the Username and Password fields blank.
  10. In the Connection script field select Panasonic from the drop-down list.
  11. Finally, click on the Save button.
