These instructions should assist in configuring your Mitel SX2000 to work with TIM Enterprise. If you are not familiar with PBX configuration, please contact your system maintainer.

Connection information Description
Connection type Serial Output: Mitel SX2000 PBX sends SMDR information via a serial connection. You will need to directly connect a serial cable from the SX2000 PBX to the PC that NetPBX is installed and running on.
Cable configuration Straight-through.

By default the Mitel SX2000 doesn't have SMDR enabled. You will need to speak to your system maintainer to get SMDR enabled.

Configuring TIM Enterprise

Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Enterprise to listen for SMDR data from your Mitel SX2000:

  1. Browse to TIM Enterprise as normal and login with your credentials.
  2. Click on the Directory tab.
  3. Go the the point in the Directory where you need to add the PBX Object and add a PBX with the name 'Mitel SX2000'.
  4. Left-click on it and select Properties.
  5. From the General settings tab select Mitel SX2000 from the PBX model list.
  6. Mitel SX2000
  7. In the Connection tab select No connection required from the Connection method list.
  8. Finally, click on the Save button.
