These instructions should assist in configuring your Panasonic KX-TA/E to work with TIM Enterprise. If you are not familiar with PBX configuration, please contact your system maintainer.

Connection information Description
Connection type Serial Output: Panasonic KX-TA/E PBX sends SMDR information via a serial connection. You will need to directly connect a serial cable from the Panasonic KX-TA/E PBX to the PC that NetPBX is installed and running on.
Cable configuration Null-Modem/Crossover.

Configuring your SMDR

Below you will find instructions on how to configure your Panasonic KX-TA/E to output SMDR to TIM Enterprise, you will need to do this from the Panasonic KX-T7130 phone:

  1. On the back of the phone set it to Program.
  2. Press - * and then # key and enter your system password.
  3. Press # #. You are now in Programming mode.
  4. Go to programming code 800, and set each of the settings as below. After you have set each one press Store and then Next to move to the next setting:
  5. SMDR field Value
    NL-Code CR+LF
    Baud Rate 9600
    Word Length 8 bits
    Parity None
    Stop Bit 1 bit
  6. Go to programming code 801, and set each of settings as below, after you have set each one press Store and then Next to move to the next setting:
  7. SMDR field Value
    Page Length Leave as default
    Skip Perf Leave as default
  8. Go to programming code 802, and set each of settings as below, after you have set each one press Store and then Next to move to the next setting:
  9. SMDR field Value
    Outgoing On
    Incoming On
  10. On the back of the phone set it back to Store.

Configuring TIM Enterprise

Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Enterprise to listen for SMDR data from your Panasonic KX-TA/E:

  1. Browse to TIM Enterprise as normal and login with your credentials.
  2. Click on the Directory tab.
  3. Go the the point in the Directory where you need to add the PBX Object and add a PBX with the name 'Panasonic KX-TA/E'.
  4. Left-click on it and select Properties.
  5. From the General settings tab select your Panasonic KX-TD Series family PBX model from the list.
  6. Panasonic KX-TA/E
  7. In the Connection tab select No connection required from the Connection method list.
  8. Finally, click on the Save button.
