These instructions should assist in configuring your Mitel 5000-7000 to work with TIM Enterprise. If you are not familiar with PBX configuration, please contact your system maintainer.

IP Method TIM Enterprise will connect to the Mitel 5000-7000 via TCP/IP.

Configuring your SMDR

The Mitel 5000-7000 by default has the SMDR output disabled. To enable the retrieval of SMDR via IP you will need to perform the below steps:

Enabling the SMDR output

  1. Login to the Mitel DB Studio software.
  2. Click and expand the System icon.
  3. Click and expand the Cabinet icon.
  4. Click on the Sockets icon.
  5. On the right-hand side you will have SMDR, click on the Enable field and click on the check box, it will change to Yes.

Configuring the SMDR

  1. Click and expand the System icon.
  2. Click and expand the Maintenance icon.
  3. Click on the SMDR icon.
  4. On the right-hand side you will have the SMDR fields that need to be configured, as shown below:

Configuring TIM Enterprise

Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Enterprise to listen for SMDR data from your Mitel 5000-7000:

  1. Browse to TIM Enterprise as normal and login with your credentials.
  2. Click on the Directory tab.
  3. Go the the point in the Directory where you need to add the PBX Object and add a PBX with the name 'Mitel 5000-7000'.
  4. Left-click on it and select Properties.
  5. From the General settings tab select Mitel 5000-7000 from the PBX model list.

  7. In the Connection tab select No connection required from the Connection method list.
  8. Finally, click on the Save button.
