These instructions should assist in configuring your Siemens HiCom-HiPath to work with TIM Enterprise. If you are not familiar with PBX configuration, please contact your system maintainer.
Connection information | Description |
---|---|
Connection type | Serial Output or IP. |
Cable configuration | Straight-through. |
IP method | The Siemens HiCom-HiPath sends the SMDR data to the IP address of the TIM Enterprise machine on a specific TCP port. |
Serial connection | If the Siemens HiCom-HiPath is configured to send SMDR information via a serial connection, you will need to directly connect a serial cable from the Siemens HiCom-HiPath PBX to the PC that NetPBX is installed and running on. |
TCP/IP connection | If the Siemens HiCom-HiPath is configured to send the SMDR information via TCP/IP the actual installation of TIM Enterprise can be anywhere on the network that the PBX is connected to. The Siemens HiCom-HiPath will need to be configured to send the SMDR data to the IP address and TCP port that TIM Enterprise is listening on. |
SMDR configuration | You will need to speak to your system maintainer to enable SMDR output. |
Configuring TIM Enterprise
Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Enterprise to listen for SMDR data from your Siemens HiCom-HiPath:
- Browse to TIM Enterprise as normal and login with your credentials.
- Click on the tab.
- Go the the point in the Directory where you need to add the PBX Object and add a PBX with the name 'Siemens HiCom-HiPath'.
- Left-click on it and select .
- From the Siemens HiCom-HiPath from the PBX model list. settings tab select
- In the Listen for connection from PBX from the Connection method list. tab select
- In the Port field enter in 9000.
- Finally, click on the button.
