These instructions should assist in configuring your Siemens HiPath DX to work with TIM Enterprise. If you are not familiar with PBX configuration, please contact your system maintainer.

Connection information Description
Connection type Serial Output: The Siemens HiPath DX sends CIL information via a serial connection, you will need to directly connect a serial cable from the Siemens HiPath DX v.24 wall box to the PC that NetPBX is installed and running on.
IP method CIL access over Ethernet: In addition to CIL access over v.24 (Serial port), in all Realitis DX and iSDX systems with Software Revision 6.0 onwards, the System card or UPI card (Advanced Connectivity Interface (ACI)) allows remote access to the CIL stream over the Ethernet. The CIL TCP server on the System/UPI cards allows a maximum of three concurrent connections from TIM Enterprise. When the three connections are in use, subsequent connection requests are rejected. The default TCP listening port is 17257. Once a connection is established, the DX will begin sending packets to TIM Enterprise.
Serial connection If the Siemens HiCom-HiPath is configured to send SMDR information via a serial connection, you will need to directly connect a serial cable from the Siemens HiCom-HiPath PBX to the PC that NetPBX is installed and running on.
TCP/IP connection If the Siemens HiCom-HiPath is configured to send the SMDR information via TCP/IP the actual installation of TIM Enterprise can be anywhere on the network that the PBX is connected to. The Siemens HiCom-HiPath will need to be configured to send the SMDR data to the IP address and TCP port that TIM Enterprise is listening on.
