What is a group?

A Group object is normally used to represent parts of your organisation identified through the function they performs, such as designated departments (IT, Sales, Accounts).

Divisions, Cost Centres, Group and Sites are very similar and can be used interchangeably to better reflect the internal structure of your company.

What is a Group?

If your organisation contains a number of different groups that work completely independently, you may choose to set them up as such. Within each Group you can then place the associated sites, departments, cost centres and extensions.

NOTE: Divisions, Cost Centres, Group and Sites are very similar and almost interchangeable. Simply use the icons best suited to reflect your actual organisational structure.

Adding a Group

To add a Group to the directory, simply select Group from the Organisation unit list as shown below and give it a name that represents its function e.g. "Sales" as shown below. Then click Add to put it in to your Directory.

Adding a Group

There are no limits to the amount of Groups you can add so you can set up your TIM Enterprise Directory to faithfully mimic your actual organisational directory. You simply select the Group, give it a name and add it.

Your Groups will appear in the Directory as follows:
