Siemens HiPath 4000

These instructions help you configure your Siemens HiPath 4000 phone system to work with TIM Plus. Contact your system maintainer if you are not familiar with the configuration of your PBX.

Configuring TIM Enterprise

Follow the steps below to configure TIM Enterprise to collect the SMDR data from your Siemens HiPath 4000:

1. Click on the Directory tab.
2. Choose the PBX object you want to configure and click Properties.
3. A new window will open. In the General tab, select Siemens HiPath 4000 from the Data format list and tick the Keep a local backup of data box, as shown below:
   
   
4. In the Connection tab, select Establish TCP connection to PBX from the Connection method list.
5. In the Host field, enter the IP address of your Mitel 3300.
6. In the Port field, enter 1752.
7. Leave the Username and Password fields blank.
8. In the IP script field, select Mitel from the drop-down list.
9. Click on the Save button to apply the settings.
   
   

These instructions should assist in configuring your Siemens HiPath 4000 to work with TIM Enterprise. If you are not familiar with PBX configuration, please contact your system maintainer.

For your SMDR configuration, you will need to speak to your system maintainer to enable SMDR output.

Configuring TIM Enterprise

Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Enterprise to connect to your Siemens HiPath 4000 to receive SMDR:

1. Browse to TIM Enterprise as normal and login with your credentials.
2. Click on the Directory tab.
3. Go the the point in the Directory where you need to add the PBX Object and add a PBX with the name 'Siemens HiPath 4000'.
4. Left-click on it and select Properties.
5. From the General settings tab select Siemens HiPath 4000 from the PBX model list.

6. In the Connection tab select Establish TCP connection to PBX from the Connection method list.
7. In the Host field enter in the IP Address of your Siemens HiPath 4000 e.g. 192.168.1.1.
8. In the Port field enter in 9000.
9. Leave the Username and Password fields blank.
10. In the IP script field select Generic Simple.
11. Finally, click on the Save button.
