These instructions help you configure your Siemens Realitis/HiPath DX phone system to work with TIM Plus. Contact your system maintainer if you are not familiar with the configuration of your PBX.

Configuring your SMDR output
CIL access over v.24: The Siemens HiPath DX sends CIL information via a serial connection, you will need to directly connect a serial cable from the Siemens HiPath DX v.24 wall box to the PC that NetPBX is installed and running on.
CIL access over Ethernet: In addition to CIL access over v.24 (Serial port), in all Realitis DX and iSDX systems with Software Revision 6.0 onwards, the System card or UPI card (Advanced Connectivity Interface (ACI)) allows remote access to the CIL stream over the Ethernet.The CIL TCP server on the System/UPI cards allows a maximum of three concurrent connections from TIM Plus.
When the three connections are in use, subsequent connection requests are rejected. The default TCP listening port is 17257. Once a connection is established, the DX will begin sending packets to TIM Plus.

Installing NetPBX
To collect the data from the serial port and send it to TIM Plus, you will first need to install the NetPBX software. For setup instructions, click on the link below:
Configuring TIM Plus
Once NetPBX is configured and collecting data, log on to TIM Plus as usual and apply the following settings:
- Click on the tab.
- Select the site configured during the setup wizard and click .

Configuring TIM Plus
Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Plus to listen for SMDR data from your Siemens HiPath DX:
- Browse to TIM Plus as normal and login with your credentials.
- Click on the tab.
- Click on the site configured during the setup wizard and click or create a new site and click .
- Within the Site Properties window, select Siemens HiPath DX from the PBX model drop-down list.
- In the Connection method field select Listen for connections from PBX from the drop-down list.
- Leave the Host field blank.
- In the Port field enter in 17257.
- Finally, click on the button.
