These instructions should assist in configuring your Siemens HiCom-HiPath to work with TIM Plus. If you are not familiar with PBX configuration, please contact your system maintainer.

| Connection type | Serial Output or IP: If the Siemens HiCom-HiPath is configured to send SMDR information via a serial connection, you will need to directly connect a serial cable from the Siemens HiCom-HiPath PBX to the PC that NetPBX is installed and running on. |

| IP method | TCP/IP connection: If the Siemens HiCom-HiPath is configured to send the SMDR information via TCP/IP, the actual installation of TIM Plus can be anywhere on the network that the PBX is connected to. The Siemens HiCom-HiPath will need to be configured to send the SMDR data to the IP address and TCP port that TIM Plus is listening on. |
For your SMDR configuration, you will need to speak to your system maintainer to enable SMDR output.
Configuring TIM Plus
Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Plus to listen for SMDR data from your Siemens HiCom-HiPath:
- Browse to TIM Plus as normal and login with your credentials.
- Click on the tab.
- Click on the site configured during the setup wizard and click or create a new site and click .
- Within the Site Properties window, select Siemens HiCom-HiPath from the PBX model drop-down list.
- In the Connection method field select Listen for connections from PBX from the drop-down list.
- Leave the Host field blank.
- In the Port field enter in 9000.
- Finally, click on the button.
