These instructions should assist in configuring your Panasonic KX-TD Series to work with TIM Plus. If you are not familiar with PBX configuration, please contact your system maintainer.

Connection information Description
Connection type Serial Output: Panasonic KX-TD Series sends SMDR information via a serial connection. You will need to directly connect a serial cable from the Panasonic KX-TD PBX to the PC that NetPBX is installed and running on.
Cable configuration Null-Modem/Crossover.

Configuring your SMDR

Below you will find instructions on how to configure your Panasonic KX-TD Series to output SMDR to TIM Plus. You will need to do this from one of the Digital Proprietary Telephone (DPT): KX-T7431, KX-T7433, KX-T7436, KX-T7230, KX-T7235:

  1. Press PROG. + * + # and enter your System Password.
  2. Enter 800 and press the Next button.
  3. You will now see Outgoing: Off, press the Select button until you see All. When you can see All press the Store button.
  4. Press the Next button and you should see Incoming: Off. Press the Select button until you see All. When you can see All press the Store button.
  5. Press the End button, the programming is now complete.

Configuring TIM Plus

Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Plus to listen for SMDR data from your Panasonic KX-TD 1232:

  1. Browse to TIM Plus as normal and login with your credentials.
  2. Click on the Directory tab.
  3. Click on the site configured during the setup wizard and click Propertiesor create a new site and click Properties.

  4. Within the Site Properties window, select Panasonic KX Family from the PBX model drop-down list.
  5. In the Connection method field select No connection required from the drop-down list.
  6. Finally, click on the Save button.
