These instructions help you configure your Mitel Imagination phone system to work with TIM Plus. Contact your system maintainer if you are not familiar with the configuration of your PBX.

Installing NetPBX

To collect the data from the serial port and send it to TIM Plus, you will first need to install NetPBX software. For setup instructions, click on the link below:

Configuring TIM Plus

Once NetPBX is configured and collecting data, log on to TIM Plus as usual and apply the following settings:

  1. Click on the Directory tab.
  2. Select the site configured during the setup wizard and clickProperties.

  3. Within the Site Properties window, select Mitel Imagination from the PBX model drop-down list.
  4. In the Connection method field select No connection required from the drop-down list.
  5. Click on the Save button to apply the settings.s


These instructions should assist in configuring your Mitel Imagination to work with TIM Plus. If you are not familiar with PBX configuration, please contact your system maintainer.

Connection information Description
Connection type Serial Output: Mitel Imagination PBX sends SMDR information via a serial connection. You will need to directly connect a serial cable from the Mitel Imagination PBX to the PC that NetPBX is installed and running on.
Cable configuration Null-mode/Crossover or Straight-through. Please check your Mitel Imagination manual.

Configuring TIM Plus

Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Plus to listen for SMDR data from your Mitel Imagination:

  1. Browse to TIM Plus as normal and login with your credentials.
  2. Click on the Directory tab.
  3. Click on the site configured during the setup wizard and click Propertiesor create a new site and click Properties.
  4. Mitel Imagination
  5. Within the Site Properties window, select Mitel Imagination from the PBX model drop-down list.
  6. In the Connection method field select No connection required from the drop-down list.
  7. Finally, click on the Save button.
