These instructions help you configure your Aastra BP phone system to work with TIM Plus. Contact your system maintainer if you are not familiar with the configuration of your PBX.

These instructions should assist in configuring your Aastra BP to work with TIM Plus. If you are not familiar with PBX configuration, please contact your system maintainer.

Connection type | Serial Output: As the Aastra BP sends SMDR information via a serial connection which is located on BP unit itself. You will need to directly connect a serial cable from the Aastra BP to the PC that NetPBX is installed and running on. |

Configuring your SMDR
BP firmware R12 or older
If you are using firmware which is older than R12, you need to setup the SMDR output to CIL3.
BP firmware R13+
If you are using firmware R13+, you will need to set the SMDR output to Flexible CIL and configure the options as below:
Configuring TIM Plus
Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Plus to listen for SMDR data from your Aastra BP:
- Browse to TIM Plus as normal and login with your credentials.
- Click on the tab.
- Click on the site configured during the setup wizard and click or create a new site and click .
- Within the Site Properties window, select Aastra BP from the PBX model drop-down list.
- In the Connection method field select No connection required from the drop-down list.
- Finally, click on the button.
