Introduction

The Directory is the central administrative screen for TIM Plus, where place where all of your sites, groups, users and channels are configured. In here, objects can be added, moved around your organisation , or the individual properties of each can and be inspected and modified.

To access the Directory, just select the Directory tab from the main menu, as shown below:

If you are set up logged in as a Standard standard web user with whose access to Reports only, you will NOT be able to access the Directory and theDirectoryis restricted to a specific group, the Directory tab will not be displayed. panel is located at the top-left of the Directory screen. The function of a site object is to acquire call logging data from a telephone system, as well as serving as a representation of a hierarchical level in your organisation. TIM Plus allows the logging of data from up to five telephone systems and a site object must be configured for each one.

As well as being a hierarchical level of your directory, a site is expected to provide call logging data into the TIM Plus system. Normally, therefore, you configure a site for each PBX in your organisation.

If you have several sites, there is no guarantee that you use the same tariff provider on all. You may not even be costing in the same currency. TIM Plus picks any tariff or currency you choose.

<h4>Sites</h4>

<p>Groups are containers of either users or channels (phone lines).  To 
select the type of group to administer, use the tab above the group 
region.</p>

<h4>Contents</h4>

<p>This region shows the objects contained in the chosen user or channel 
group.  If a user group is currently selected, this region will contain a
 list of users inside that group.  Similarly, if a channel group is 
currently selected, the region will shown each channel in that group.</p>

panel is located at the top-right of the Directory screen and contains groups of users (extensions) and channels (trunks), with each type of group divided into separate tabs. By selecting a tab, all of the groups of that type will be displayed in the panel.
