TIM Professional allows you to add custom customise the names for of specific locations that you dial to, so that these show instead of the dialled number, wherever they feature throughout the system, e.g. reports, call view etc. For example, if dialling
, the
number's location
name that will show in the
screen or reports
as will be Manchester,
as determined by its dialling code 0161.
To add a new location name, click on the
tab from the
screen and enter the preferred name in the
field, as shown below:

If you prefer to customise specific numbers only, such as DDIs you can make the changes in the LOCATIONS.CFG file from the main installation folder.
For instance, whilst you may prefer that any Manchester numbers retain the Manchester Location Name, you may want that particular calls to 599 5999 to reflect the fact that these are calls to your office.
Lines are added in the form number = friendly name to the configuration file.
For instance you may want to display the location name of all numbers starting with 0161 as Manchester, but to customise the name for a particular number, such as
