These instructions help you configure your Avaya IP Office up to v5 phone system to work with TIM Plus. Contact your system maintainer if you are not familiar with the configuration of your PBX.

Configuring your SMDR

The Avaya IP Office version 5 or lower uses the Avaya Delta Server software to configure the SMDR output. If you don't have a copy of the Avaya Delta Server, you should be able to get this from your Avaya Administration CD, otherwise speak to your system maintainer and they should be able to supply you with a copy of the software.

 The Avaya Delta Server is known to be backward compatible with older version of the Avaya IP Office as far as v3.x.

Configuring Avaya Delta Server

Please make sure the CCC Delta Server service is started, and follow the below instructions to configure the Avaya Delta Server to work with TIM Plus:

  1. Open your web browser and type in the following in to the address bar: http://127.0.0.1:8080.
  2. Check that the Avaya Delta Server is connected to your Avaya IP Office. To do this, you need to look at the Comms Status, it should say Comms Restored. If it doesn't then you need to click on the Comms link on the left-hand side, then click on the Search button and once it finds your Avaya IP Office unit, select it from the Connection drop-down list and click on the Apply button. This should connect the Avaya Delta Server to the Avaya IP Office you selected.
  3. Now click on the SMDR option on the left-hand side.
  4. You will need to configure each of the fields on the SMDR screen as shown in the image below:
  5. Now click on the apply button.

Configuring TIM Plus

Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Plus to collect the SMDR data from your Avaya IP Office:

  1. Log on to TIM Plus and click on the Directory tab.
  2. Click on the site configured during the setup wizard and click Properties.
  3. Within the Site Properties window, select Avaya IP Office from the PBX model drop-down list.
  4. In the Connection method field select Actively connect to PBX from the drop-down list.
  5. In the Host field enter the IP Address of the Avaya Delta Server.
  6. In the Port field enter in 8082.
  7. Leave the Username and Password fields blank.
  8. In the Connection script field select Avaya IP Office from the drop-down list.
  9. Finally, click on the Save button.

<h2>Configuring Avaya Delta Server</h2>

<p>If you don't already have a copy of the Avaya Delta Server, 
you can get a copy from the Administration CD. If you don't have 
this, you will need to speak to your system installer/maintainer and 
they should be able to supply you with it.</p>

<p>The Avaya Delta Server is known to be backward compatible with older version of the Avaya IP Office as far as v3.x.</p>

<p>Please make sure the CCC Delta Server service is started, and follow 
the below instructions on how to configure the Avaya Delta Server:</p>

<ol>
	<li>Open your web browser and type in the following in to the address bar: <span class="keyword">http://127.0.0.1:8080</span>.</li>
	<li>Check that the Avaya Delta Server is connected to your Avaya IP Office. To do this, you need to look at the <span class="reference">Comms Status</span>, it should say <span class="keyword">Comms Restored</span>. 
	If it doesn't then you need to click on the <span class="button no_margin">Comms</span> link on the left-hand side, then click on the <span class="button no_margin">Search</span> button and once it finds your Avaya IP 
	Office unit select it from the <span class="reference">Connection</span> drop-down list and click on the <span class="button no_margin">Apply</span> button. This should connect the Avaya Delta Server to the Avaya IP Office 
	you selected.</li>
	 <li>Now click on the <span class="button no_margin">SMDR</span> option on the left-hand side.</li>
	<li>You will need to configure each of the fields on the SMDR screen as shown in the image below:</li>

<h2>Configuring TIM Plus</h2>

<p>Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Plus to listen for SMDR data from your Avaya IP Office v5:</p>

	<li>Browse to TIM Plus as normal and login with your credentials.</li>
	<li>Click on the <span class="button no_margin">Directory</span> tab.</li>
	<li>Click on the site configured during the setup wizard and click <span class="button no_margin">Properties</span>or create a new site and click <span class="button no_margin">Properties</span>.</li>

	<li>Within the <span class="reference">Site Properties</span> window, select <span class="keyword">Avaya IP Office</span> from the <span class="reference">PBX model</span> drop-down list.</li>
	<li>In the <span class="reference">Connection method</span> field select <span class="keyword">Actively connect to PBX</span> from the drop-down list.</li>
	<li>In the <span class="reference">Host</span> field enter the IP Address of the Avaya Delta Server.</li>
	<li>In the <span class="reference">Port</span> field enter in <span class="keyword">9000</span>.</li>
	<li>Leave the <span class="reference">Username</span> and <span class="reference">Password</span> fields blank.</li>
	<li>In the <span class="reference">Connection script</span> field select <span class="keyword">Avaya IP Office</span> from the drop-down list.</li>
	<li>Finally, click on the <span class="button no_margin">Save</span> button.</li>
