These instructions should assist in configuring your Mitel SX50 to work with TIM Enterprise. If you are not familiar with PBX configuration, please contact your system maintainer.

Connection information Description
Connection type Serial Output: Mitel SX50 PBX sends SMDR information via a serial connection. You will need to directly connect a serial cable from the SX50 PBX to the PC that NetPBX is installed and running on.
Cable configuration Straight-through.

Configuring your SMDR

By default the Mitel SX50 doesn't have SMDR enabled. To enable SMDR for the Mitel SX50 you need to follow the steps below:

  1. Access the programming interface.
  2. Within the programming interface you need to access Systems Options Programming.
  3. Access Command 100, register 14.
  4. You will be presented with four options. You need to enable Enabled for both incoming and outgoing trunk calls.
  5. Make sure that SMDR is enabled in all of your 'Class of Services (Command 121-129)' and trunk groups (Command 151-156).

Configuring TIM Enterprise

Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Enterprise to listen for SMDR data from your Mitel SX50:

  1. Browse to TIM Enterprise as normal and login with your credentials.
  2. Click on the Directory tab.
  3. Go the the point in the Directory where you need to add the PBX Object and add a PBX with the name 'Mitel SX50'.
  4. Left-click on it and select Properties.
  5. From the General settings tab select Mitel SX50 from the PBX model list.

  7. In the Connection tab select No connection required from the Connection method list.
  8. Finally, click on the Save button.
