These instructions help you configure your Cisco UCME / UC500 to work with TIM Plus. Contact your system maintainer if you are not familiar with the configuration of your PBX.

Configuring UCME to send SysLog events

Log in to your phone system via Telnet, using the IP address of your Cisco UCME / UC500, as shown below:


Once connected, enter the following commands to enable the Cisco UCME / UC500 to send SysLog events to TIM Plus:

Configuring Cisco AXL sync

Below you will find steps on how to configure the Directory Sync from Cisco UCM:

  1. Browse to TIM Plus as normal and log in with your credentials.
  2. Click on the Directory tab.
  3. Select the site configured during the setup wizard and click Properties.
  4. Within the Site Properties window, click on the Sync tab and tick the box Synchronise with the following device.

  5. In the Host field, enter the IP address of your UCME / UC500.
  6. In the Username field, enter the username used to log in to your UCME / UC500.
  7. Click on the Set button and enter the password used to log in to the UCME / UC500.
  8. Click on the Save button to apply the settings.

Configuring TIM Plus to capture SysLog packets

Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Plus to receive data from your Cisco UCM:

  1. Browse to TIM Plus as normal and log in with your credentials.
  2. Click on the Directory tab.
  3. Select the site configured during the setup wizard and click Properties.

  4. Within the Site Properties window, select Cisco UCME - SysLog from the PBX model drop-down list.
  5. In the Connection method field, select SysLog connection from the drop-down list.
  6. In the Client IP field, enter in the IP address of the Cisco UCME / UC500.
  7. Click on the Save button to apply the settings.
