Configuring your SMDR

For your SMDR configuration, please note that Aastra Intelligate Series has multiple output formats. For TIM Plus, the output will need to be configured to PC5 format.

Below are some screenshots examples of how the Aastra Intelligate should be configured.

Setting the SMDR format to TCP/IP

OIP Server and TIM Plus

The OIP server has a very basic 'call logging' module. If you are intending on installing TIM Plus along side the OAI server you need to uninstall the 'call logging' module from the OIP server suit. If you do not uninstall this, you will find that if you configure your Aastra to output to the TIM Plus PC, the OIP server will overwrite it with its required settings.

Serial output

If your Aastra Intelligate has been configured to send SMDR data via a serial connection, you need to install the NetPbx software to collect the data from the serial port. Thereafter, NetPBX will send the SMDR to TIM Plus via a TCP/IP connection.

Follow the link below for instructions on how to install and configure the NetPBX software.

How to install NetPbx?

Once NetPbx has been configured and is collecting data, log on to TIM Plus as usual and apply the following settings:

  1. Click on the Directory tab and select the site configured during the setup wizard.
  2. Click Properties and within the Site properties window, select Aastra PC5 from the PBX model drop-down list.
  3. In the Connection method field, select No connection required from the drop-down list.
  4. Finally, click on the Save button to apply the changes.
