When Echo is installed for the first time a configuration assistant will be launched.  Below is a screenshot of what is expected.

The configuration assistant has many options available, most of which can be skipped for a standard setup.  The following steps will have Echo collecting audio data.

  1. Multiple Echo installations can be installed on a network so defining a unique name for each installation is important.
  2. Selecting the Adapter name tells Echo which network card to listen on.  This should always be the network card connected to your telephone network via the managed switch.
  3. Press the Apply button to write the configuration Echo will use.
  4. Press the Start button to start the Echo service.
  5. Open a web browser and enter the following into the address bar: http://localhost:8088/
  6. Make a test call and a new line will be shown on the interface.  The current state of the call should be marked as “Connected” if someone has answered the other end of the call.  The call should say “Ended” when you hang up.
