channel group?
Channel groups are containers of channels - as the name suggests - and they normally A channel group is a container of individual channels and is normally named to reflect the type of line coming into your organisation and their groupings, e.g. ISDN 30channel it contains, such as ISDN30, ISDN2, Analogue Fax lines , etc.

The Discovered Channels folder
When you first configure the system and your channels start to populate the Directory, the Discovered Channels folder is created automatically in the Directory. Its function is to pick up newly discovered channels and it should not be renamed or deleted. Once you have created your own groups, you can move channels from the Discovered Channels folder to the newly created ones. For information on how to move channels from one group to another, refer to the Moving a channel between two groups sectionA special channel group, Discovered Channels, is automatically created in TIM Plus to harvest hitherto-unknown channel information from the call data received from your telephone system. Over time, when all possible channels have been collected by the Discovered Channels folder, you can create your own channel groups based on the structure of your organisation, and move channels into these new groups.

If you are synchronising with a third party system, e.g. use synchronisation, such as Cisco AXL, you will automatically pick up the channel groups as they are configured in your phone systemneed not manually configure channel groups, since TIM Plus automatically imports channels from your telephone system, placing them in their respective groups. |

Channels in this group emulate network termination
Tick this box This option only applies if you have a call recording option in place and if the currently selected trunk is part of a Private circuitenabled integrated call recording on your system. Its purpose is to indicate that the far end of the channel's physical connection is emulating PSTN network termination (NT), such as in a private circuit scenario.

PLEASE NOTE: When you are deleting delete a channel group, you are deleting all the information contained within that group, including all channels and the calls associated with those channels! |
To remove a channel group from the Directory, select the group you want to remove and click on the button. In the new Channel properties window that opens, you have the option to delete the selected group. You will also be asked to confirm the deletion, in order to prevent groups will open, click on the button to remove the channel from the Directory; a confirmation will be required, to prevent users being deleted accidentally.
