User groups are containers of users and they often A user group is a container of individual users, and together they mimic the organisational structure of your company. The User groups allow senior management to report on calls by department and then drill-down further to see individual user activity. Access can be restricted to one specific group, so that managers can report only on their own department. See the Web users section for more information on how to apply these restrictions.The Discovered Users folder is the User group created by default in the system to pick up new extensions. As you add your own groups, you can move users from the Discovered Users folder into the , enabling you to run reports on, and restrict access to, parts of the TIM Plus directory.

If you are using third party synchronisation (e.g. Cisco AXL), you will automatically pick up the User groups as they are configured in your phone system.

If you would like to add additional groups yourself, click on theAddbutton at the top right-hand side of the Groups panel. A new window will appear, allowing you to add the name of the group 's name and its associated pilot/hunt group number. Once you set these parameters, click on theAddbutton, if applicable.

If you use synchronisation, such as Cisco AXL, you need not manually configure user groups, since TIM Plus automatically imports users from your telephone system, placing them in their respective groups.

Dialled number alarm

Duration alarm

An alarm can be activated when a call exceeding made by any user within the selected group exceeds a predetermined duration is made by anyone in this User group. All durations are shown in seconds (e.g. 30 minutes = 1800 seconds), measured in seconds.

Missed call alarm

You E-mail notifications of missed calls can be alerted if any calls are missed for the User activated for users in the selected group, by ticking the box alongside the Enable missed call alarms for this group, then type in the e-mail address of the person who you would like to send notification to as shown above. You may type site option.

Delivering the alarm notification

To receive an e-mail notification from TIM Plus about any of the aforementioned alarms, enter the address of the e-mail recipient in the box provided; to send alerts to multiple e-mail addresses as long as you separate them by comma, separate each one with a semicolon.

Warning

When you delete a user group, you are deleting all the information contained within that group, including all users and calls associated with those users!

To delete a user group from the Directory, select the group you want to remove and click on the Properties button. In the new window that opens, you have the option to delete the selected group. You will also be asked to confirm deletion, in order to prevent groups being deleted accidentally.
