Configuring your SMDR

The Avaya Tenovis is outputting the SMDR data via a serial connection. You will need to directly connect a serial cable from the Avaya Tenovis phone system to a PC that will be running NetPBX software.

Installing NetPBX

The Avaya Tenovis phone system sends SMDR information outputs its SMDR data via a serial connection. To collect the data from the serial port and send it to TIM Plus, you will first need to install NetPBX the netpbx software. For setup instructions, click on the link below:

Configuring TIM Plus

Once NetPBX is configured and collecting data, log on in to TIM Plus as usual and apply follow the following settingssteps below:

  1. Click on the Directory tab.
  2. Click on Choose the site configured during the setup wizard you want to configure and click Properties.

  3. Within In the Site Properties window, select Avaya Tenovis i55 from the PBX model drop-down list.
  4. In the Connection method field, select No connection required from the drop-down list.
  5. Click on the Save button to apply the settings.

<h2>Configuring TIM Plus</h2>

<p>Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Plus to listen for SMDR data from your Avaya Tenovis i55:</p>

<ol>
	<li>Browse to TIM Plus as normal and login with your credentials.</li>
	<li>Click on the <span class="button no_margin">Directory</span> tab.</li>
	<li>Click on the site configured during the setup wizard and click <span class="button no_margin">Properties</span>or create a new site and click <span class="button no_margin">Properties</span>.</li>

	<li>Within the <span class="reference">Site Properties</span> window, select <span class="keyword">Avaya Tenovis i55</span> from the <span class="reference">PBX model</span> drop-down list.</li>
	<li>In the <span class="reference">Connection method</span> field select <span class="keyword">No connection required</span> from the drop-down list.</li>
	<li>Finally, click on the <span class="button no_margin">Save</span> button.</li>
