These instructions help you configure your BT Monarch to work with TIM Plus. Contact your system maintainer if you are not familiar with the configuration of your PBX.

Configuring your SMDR

The BT Monarch sends SMDR information via a serial connection. You will need to directly connect a serial cable from the BT Monarch phone system to the PC that NetPBX software is installed and running on.

Configuring TIM Plus

Once NetPBX is configured and collecting data, log on in to TIM Plus as usual and apply follow the following settingssteps below:

  1. Click on the Directory tab.
  2. Select Choose the site configured during the setup wizard you want to configure and click Properties.

  3. Within In the Site Properties window, select BT Monarch from the PBX model drop-down list.
  4. In the Connection method field, select No connection required from the drop-down list.
  5. Click on the Save button to apply the settings.

<p>For your SMDR configuration, you will need to speak to your system maintainer to enable SMDR output.</p>

<h2>Configuring TIM Plus</h2>

<p>Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Plus to listen for SMDR data from your BT Monarch:</p>

	<li>Browse to TIM Plus as normal and login with your credentials.</li>
	<li>Click on the <span class="button no_margin">Directory</span> tab.</li>
	<li>Click on the site configured during the setup wizard and click <span class="button no_margin">Properties</span>or create a new site and click <span class="button no_margin">Properties</span>.</li>

	<li>Within the <span class="reference">Site Properties</span> window, select <span class="keyword">BT Monarch</span> from the <span class="reference">PBX model</span> drop-down list.</li>
	<li>In the <span class="reference">Connection method</span> field select <span class="keyword">No connection required</span> from the drop-down list.</li>
	<li>Finally, click on the <span class="button no_margin">Save</span> button.</li>
