Configuring your SMDR output

The Siemens OpenOffice doesn't have By default, the SMDR output enabled by default. Please contact your phone of a Siemens OpenOffice is not enabled. Contact your system maintainer to enable the data output it for incoming, outgoing and internal calls.

Setting up a DSN connection

To enable TIM Plus to work with the Siemens OpenOffice, you first need to set up a DSN connection. Below you will find instructions on how to do this within Microsoft Windows:

  1. Open Windows Control Panel
  2. Double-click on the Administrative tools icon
  3. Double-click on the Data Sources (ODBC) icon to open the ODBC Data Source Administrator window

    For a 64 bit system, access the ODBC Data Source Administrator from the following location C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe

  4. Click on the System DSN tab.
  5. Click on the Add button.
  6. Select Native from the driver list and click Finish.
  7. In the Data source name field enter the following: enter Siemens OpenOffice.
  8. Click on the OK button and then again to close save the window.

The Siemens OpenOffice connection shoud now be displayed in the System DSN list.

Configuring the interface file

Follow the steps below to configure the interface file to establish an HTTPS connection with your Siemens OpenOffice:

  1. Open the

  2. Edit the file to point to the IP address of your Siemens OpenOffice and enter the relevant username and password, as shown below:

  2. Remove the apostrophe (') in front of the amended fields to enable them. An example of a configured interface file is shown below:

Configuring TIM Plus

Once the DSN connection has been setupset up, log on in to TIM Plus as usual and apply follow the following settingssteps below:

  1. Click on the Directory tab.
  2. Select Choose the site configured during the setup wizard you want to configure and click on Properties.

  3. Within In the Site Properties window, select Siemens OpenOffice from the PBX model drop-down list.
  4. In the Connection method field, select Connect to a system DSN from the drop-down list.
  5. In the DSN name field, select Siemens OpenOffice from the drop-down list.
  6. In the Frequency field, enter in 5.
  7. In the DB script field, select Siemens
  8. OpenOffice
  9. from the drop-down list.
  10. Click on the Save button to apply the settings.
