Introduction

The Call Geography report includes graphical pie charts and a
detailed table with complete information about where you make your calls
to: local, national, international, mobile, etc.

Each segment is shown as a percentage of the number of calls, and
again to show how much of the cost is made up of those types of calls.
This quickly enables you to see which calls are costing you the most,
and taking up the most call time.

Understanding the Results

When selecting Web as the output format, this report will appear as above.

The Web format allows for complete flexibility when viewing any report. To view details of any filters or selection parameters used in creating this report, simply click on About this report at the top right of the page.

All headers are clickable allowing you re-arrange the report layout in seconds, to sort the calls in ascending or decending order based on the header clicked.

The final report consists of three pie charts, and a table.

Pie charts

The left-hand pie chart shows the amount of calls to the various destinations

The centre graph shows the time spent on calls to each location

The right-hand chart shows the cost of calls to each destination.

Table

This shows in detail the amount of calls that were made to the specific destination, also expressed as a percentage of all calls, along with the average, total and percentage costs associated with each destination.

The headers of the table are as follows:

It shows the average duration spent on calls to this charge band. This is ideal if you are speaking to your carrier about issues like
call capping, particularly if the average call duration is quite high. You can re-order to sort in descending and ascending order of average call duration by clicking on the header.

Total duration

This column shows the total amount of time spend on calls to a particular chargeband. To re-order, simply click on the header to

% of total cost

The percentage of total cost allows you to see what percentage of the total cost of all calls was spent on calls to this chargeband.

Overview

The Call Geography report consists of three pie charts, each showing call information grouped by volume, duration and cost. An accompanying table is also shown, containing details of where - geographically - your calls are made, classified by their tariff band, such as local, national, mobile or international.

The proportion of calls to each geographical destination is shown in terms of volume, duration and cost, highlighting the calls that are costing you the most and taking up most of your time.

The final report consists of three pie charts and a table.

Pie charts

 • The left-hand pie chart shows the amount of calls to each location
 • The centre chart shows the time spent on calls to each location
 • The right-hand chart shows the cost of calls to each location

Table

The table shows the following information about the calls made to each charge band location:

HeaderDescription
Charge bandThe charge band, e.g. Local, National, International, Mobile, etc. Each listed charge band is click-able, allowing you to drill-down to see which site, department or user made calls to that charge band location.
% of callsThe number of calls per charge band location as a percentage of the total calls made. To reorder, click on the header to alternate between descending and ascending.
Number of callsThe total volume of calls made to each charge band location.
% of total durationThe total duration of calls made to each charge band location, expressed as a percentage of all charge bands.
Average durationThe average duration spent on calls to the corresponding charge band.
Total durationThe total amount of time spent on calls to the corresponding charge band.
% of total costThe total cost of all calls made to each charge band location, expressed as a percentage of the total cost of all calls.
Average costThe average cost of calls made to each charge band location.
Total costThe total cost of calls made to each charge band location.

The summary line at the foot of the table shows the total number of calls included in the report, the total duration of calls, average and total costs.

As with all reports produced by TIM Enterprise, each page of the report includes the following information:

 • the report's title
 • the date and time that the report was generated
 • the name of the report, if applicable

The Web format is the most interactive of all formats: all column headers are click-sortable and most graphical and tabular elements can be drilled down into, allowing deeper analysis of your results. By clicking on the About this report link at the top-right corner of the page, you can review any filters and options that have been applied to the report.
