These instructions help you configure your Panasonic KX-TA/TE phone system to work with TIM PlusEnterprise. Contact your system maintainer if you are not familiar with the configuration of your PBX.

Configuring the SMDR output

Follow the steps below to configure your Panasonic KX-TA/TE to output SMDR data to TIM PlusEnterprise. The configuration needs to be performed from a Panasonic KX-T7130 phone:

  1. Set the System Program Switch on the EMSS Control Unit to the Programming position.
  2. Press -* followed by the # key, then enter your system password.
  3. Press ## to enter the Programming mode.
  4. Go to programming code 800 and set each of the fields as shown below. Press  Store and then Next after each entry in order to move to the next field:

  5. Go to programming code 801 and set each of the fields as shown below. Press Store and then Next after each entry in order to move to the next field:

  6. Go to programming code 802 and set each of the fields as shown below. Press Store and then Next after each entry in order to move to the next field:

  7. Set the System Program Switch back to Store position.

Installing NetPBX

The Panasonic KX-TA/TE phone system sends SMDR information via a serial connection. To collect the call logging data from the serial port and send it to TIM PlusEnterprise, you first need to install the netpbx software. For setup instructions, click on the link below:

  1. Click on the Directory tab.
  2. Choose the PBX object you want to configure and click Properties.
  3. A new window will open. In the General tab, select Panasonic KX-TD Series from the Data format list and tick the Keep a local backup of data box, as shown below:

  4. In the Connection tab, select No connection required from the Connection method list.
  5. Click on the Save button to apply the settings.

<h2>Configuring your SMDR</h2>

<p>Below you will find instructions on how to configure your Panasonic 
KX-TA/E to output SMDR to TIM Enterprise. You will need to do this from 
the Panasonic KX-T7130 phone:</p>

	<li>On the back of the phone set it to <span class="reference">Program</span>.</li>
	<li>Press <span class="button no_margin">-</span> <span class="button no_margin">*</span> and then <span class="button no_margin">#</span> key and enter your system password.</li>
	<li>Press <span class="button no_margin">#</span> <span class="button no_margin">#</span>. You are now in <i>Programming mode</i>.</li>
	<li>Go to programming code <span class="keyword">800</span>, and set each of the settings as below. After you have set each one press <span class="button no_margin">Store</span> and then 
	<span class="button no_margin">Next</span> to move to the next setting:</li>

<h2>Configuring TIM Enterprise</h2>

<p>Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Enterprise to listen for SMDR data from your Panasonic KX-TA/E:</p>

	<li>Browse to TIM Enterprise as normal and login with your credentials.</li>
	<li>Click on the <span class="button no_margin">Directory</span> tab.</li>
	<li>Go the the point in the Directory where you need to add the PBX Object and add a PBX with the name 'Panasonic KX-TA/E'.</li>
	<li>Left-click on it and select <span class="button no_margin">Properties</span>.</li>
	<li>From the <span class="button no_margin">General</span> settings tab select your <span class="keyword">Panasonic KX-TD Series</span> family PBX model from the list.</li>
