The NEC NEAX can be configured to send the SMDR data via a serial or an IP connection.  Click on one of the links below for your preferred connection method.

work with TIM Plus. If you are not familiar with PBX 
configuration, please contact your system maintainer.</p>

				If you have configured the NEC NEAX to send the SMDR information via a serial connection, you will need to directly connect a serial cable from the NEC NEAX to the PC that NetPBX is installed and running on.

			The NEC NEAX will need to be configured to output SMDR data via TCP/IP so TIM Plus can connect to it. TIM Plus will connect to the NEC NEAX on TCP port 2599.

<p>You will need to speak to your system maintainer to enable the SMDR output.</p>

<h2>Configuring your Serial connection</h2>

<p>Using the CAT (Customer Administration Terminal) in the system-programming mode, enter the following settings:</p>

<h2>Configuring TIM Plus</h2>

<p>Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Plus to listen for SMDR data from your NEC NEAX:</p>

<ol>
	<li>Browse to TIM Plus as normal and login with your credentials.</li>
	<li>Click on the <span class="button no_margin">Directory</span> tab.</li>
	<li>Click on the site configured during the setup wizard and click <span class="button no_margin">Properties</span>or create a new site and click <span class="button no_margin">Properties</span>.</li>

	<li>Within the <span class="reference">Site Properties</span> window, select <span class="keyword">NEC NEAX</span> from the <span class="reference">PBX model</span> drop-down list.</li>
	<li>In the <span class="reference">Connection method</span> field select <span class="keyword">Actively connect to PBX</span> from the drop-down list.</li>
	<li>In the <span class="reference">Host</span> field enter the IP Address of your NEC NEAX.</li>
	<li>In the <span class="reference">Port</span> field enter in <span class="keyword">2599</span>.</li>
	<li>Leave the <span class="reference">Username</span> and <span class="reference">Password</span> fields blank.</li>
	<li>In the <span class="reference">Connection script</span> field select <span class="keyword">NEC NEAX 2000 IVS</span> from the drop-down list.</li>
	<li>Finally, click on the <span class="button no_margin">Save</span> button.</li>
