A statistics collection point (stats pointcollector) object is a mathematical "counter" whose scope of data collection is determined by its placement in your directory hierarchy. For example, placing a stats point collector inside a specific user group ensures that call information is collected only for users that inhabit the selected group. Similarly, placing a stats point collector inside a site will collect only call information for the chosen site. As calls are made and received, the properties of each one are collated for future consumption by display boards.

A Stats Collector is basically a "counter" that can be placed on
any subject and at any point in your organization. It counts calls
that match defined parameters as they pass. This information from these
Stats Collectors can then be selected and displayed on your customisable
display boards.

Most of the information shown in the Summary and Leader board panels of a display board
is supplied by Stats Collectors. It will be very difficult to create
useful, informative display boards without first understanding Stats
collectors.

It is even possible to exclude users and/or channels from Stats Collectors.
