These instructions help you configure your Alcatel PmniPCX Enterprise phone system to work with TIM Plus. Contact your system maintainer if you are not familiar with the configuration of your PBX.

Configuring your SMDR

Below you will find instructions on how to configure the SMDR output via serial or TCP/IP. These instructions are taken from the Alcatel OmniPCX Enterprise manual:

Connect to your PBX via telnet and follow the steps below:

  1. Applications (
    Buttonmacro

  2. Accounting (
    Buttonmacro

  3. Review/ Modify (
    Buttonmacro

    ).
  4. All instance (

  5. Realtime ticket output: Set this to

    . Note that if you don't have appropriate license, you can only select V24 (serial) here.

  6. Save changes and exit.

Configuring TIM Plus

Serial output

If your Alcatel PmniPCX Enterprise has been configured to send SMDR data via a serial connection, you will first need to install NetPbx software to collect the data from the serial port and send it to Tim Plus. For setup instructions, click on the link below:

Install and configure NetPbx

Once NetPbx is configured and collecting data, log on to TIM Plus as usual and apply the following settings:

  1. Click on the
    Buttonmacro
    LabelDirectory
    tab.
  2. Click on the site configured during the setup and click
    Buttonmacro
    LabelProperties
    .
  3. Within the
    Referencemacro
    LabelSite Properties
    window, select the
    Keywordmacro
    LabelAlcatel OmniPCX Enterprise
    from the
    Referencemacro
    LabelPBX model
    drop-down list.

TCP/IP output

If your Alcatel OmniPCX Enterprise has been configured to send the data via TCP/IP, follow the steps below to configure TIM Plus:

  1. Click on the

  2. Selec the site  configured during the setup and clik

  3. Within the

<h2>Configuring TIM Plus</h2>

<p>Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Plus to listen for SMDR data from your Alcatel OmniPCX Enterprise:</p>

<ol>
	<li>Browse to TIM Plus as normal and login with your credentials.</li>
	<li>Click on the <span class="button no_margin">Directory</span> tab.</li>
	<li>Click on the site configured during the setup wizard and click <span class="button no_margin">Properties</span> or create a new site and click <span class="button no_margin">Properties</span>.</li>

	<li>Within the <span class="reference">Site Properties</span> window, select <span class="keyword">Alcatel OmniPCX Enterprise</span> from the <span class="reference">PBX model</span> drop-down list.</li>
	<li>In the <span class="reference">Connection method</span> field select <span class="keyword">Actively connect to PBX</span> from the drop-down list.</li>
	<li>In the <span class="reference">Host</span> field enter the IP Address of your Alcatel OmniPCX Enterprise.</li>
	<li>In the <span class="reference">Port</span> field enter in <span class="keyword">2533</span>.</li>
	<li>Leave the <span class="reference">Username</span> and <span class="reference">Password</span> fields blank.</li>
	<li>In the <span class="reference">Connection script</span> field select <span class="keyword">Alcatel OmniPCX Enterprise 7.1+</span> from the drop-down list.</li>
	<li>Finally, click on the <span class="button no_margin">Save</span> button.</li>
