<p>If your system is processing a large volume of information on a daily basis, a gradual degradation of the system's performance may occur in the long run, due to the amount of calls stored in the database. In order to keep your system running smoothly, the <img class="editor-inline-macro" src="/plugins/servlet/confluence/placeholder/macro?definition=e3JlZmVyZW5jZW1hY3JvOkxhYmVsPUF1dG9tYXRpYyBBcmNoaXZlfQ&locale=en_GB&version=2" data-macro-name="referencemacro" data-macro-parameters="Label=Automatic Archive"> feature can export automatically your old call data - after a predetermined period - as part of its start-up routine. This automatic process ensures the optimal running of the system, whilst freeing the operator of any backup duties.</p><p>Setting up the automatic archive feature requires you to edit the <span class="keyword">main.cfg</span> file, located in the <img class="editor-inline-macro" src="/plugins/servlet/confluence/placeholder/macro?definition=e3JlZmVyZW5jZW1hY3JvOkxhYmVsPWNvbmZpZ30&locale=en_GB&version=2" data-macro-name="referencemacro" data-macro-parameters="Label=config"> folder within the main installation program.</p><p>Open the <span class="keyword">main.cfg</span> file and amend the <span class="keyword">AAEvery</span> key to a value that reflects how old the calls should be before being archived.
